Q: I want to embed my cameras live video in a web page. Is it possible to access the live video without having access to the web user interface?

A: Start by adding a new user in the User Management Menu and customize the assigned user permissions:

Option 1: RTSP Stream
Option 2: MJEPG Stream or Snapshots
Option 3: MJEPG Stream or Snapshots and Pan\&Tilt Control
Additional Permissions: User Settings
Additional Permissions: SD Viewer
Additional Permissions: Multimedia Settings
Additional Permissions: Alarm Settings
Additional Permissions: System Settings

Option 1: RTSP Stream

Giving access to the Basic Authentication and the RTSP Stream allows the user to access the RTSP video stream. But using the login on the webUI does not give access to any of the camera configuration menus:

Option 2: MJEPG Stream or Snapshots

Giving access to the Basic Authentication and the Live Video allows the user to access the JPG snapshot path and MJPEG video stream. But using the login on the webUI does not give access to any of the camera configuration menus:

Option 3: MJEPG Stream or Snapshots and Pan&Tilt Control

Giving access to the Basic Authentication, PTZ Control and the Live Video allows the user to access the JPG snapshot path and MJPEG video stream and take control of the pan, tilt and zoom control. But using the login on the webUI does not give access to any of the camera configuration menus:
