Switchable Power Extension Cord

Q: Can the camera be connected to a switchable power outlet or lose its settings?

A: The settings are all retained in the camera, you can easily remove the power. However, cutting the power while the camera is recording video to the internal SD card will corrupt the recording file in progress. It may also happen that you have to format the SD card afterwards. If you do not use the recording on SD card, this is of course no problem.
