OBS looses Connection to Camera Livestream

Q: Every time my camera switches to black&white night mode the live video in OBS stops. The video stops with a frozen last frame until the camera switches back to colour / day mode. Why is that?

A: Please check your frame rate setting in the webUI of your camera under Multimedia/Video:

Increase the frame rate if the limit is set to below 20fps.
