Netgear Router as FTP Server
Q: The ftp function is described with Fritz routers and Speedport. Does that work well with Netgear?
A: Does the Netgear router have a USB port for e.g. a USB stick or a USB hard disk? If so, then you should certainly be able to enable FTP in the router. The surfaces of routers from different manufacturers always look a bit different. However, the basic steps for setting up FTP upload are always the same. An overview of instructions can be found here.
