Alarm Recording

To record under Windows Vista / 7/8, you must add the IP address of your camera to the trusted pages. For this, please go to Internet Explorer under Tools - Internet Options - Security - Trustworthy Pages - to add the IP address of your camera. You must remove the hook under Required Server Verification (https :) for all pages in this zone so that you can enter the IP as http. Then enter the IP address in the address bar of your web browser and you should be able to record path. If you still can not record the path, please make sure that you have started Internet Explorer with administrator rights.

Snapshot/Manual Video Recording

If you want to take a snapshot of the live-video, just press the camera-button on the right side. If you click on the camcorder-symbol next to it, you can start a video record. By clicking the symbol again, the video record will be stopped.

All records will be saved to the SD-Card of the Camera and can be accessed by clicking on SD-Card in the upper bar. As an alternative, for example to easily save specific records, you can use an application on your computer. For a variety of applications click here.
You can also use our free App for Android, iPhone, iPad and Windows Phone to remotely access the SD-Card.

Please be reminded that during the manual recording, the video will be divided into smaller videos. In the menu under Features - Manual Record you can find the controls to set the length of the video-parts. We recommend a video-part-length of 10-15 minutes to avoid the risk of data-loss.

Scheduled Audio- & Video Record

Your camera can record Audio- & Video following a schedule. To set up the schedule navigate to Tasks. Here you can choose between photo series and video record and then can set up their individual schedule:

VGA-Camera

The VGA-Camera is using the ActiveX-Plugin to record videos. This plugin is only being supported on Windows Internet Explorer. Under Alarm - Path you can choose the path for the recordings, by clicking on Record in the upper bar, you can start the recording.

In order to record in Windows 8 / 7 / Vista you will need to add the IP address of your IP camera to the list of trusted sites. In order to do so please open your Internet Explorer and go to Tools - Internet Options - Security - Trusted sites - Sites to add the IP address of your camera. You will need to remove the checkmark by Require server verification (https:) for all sites in this zone so that you can add the IP as http. After that please reload the cameras IP address in your web browser and you should be able to set the record path accordingly. If you can still not set the record path, please make sure you have started the Internet Explorer with admin rights.

The recording with (1 frame per second) is possible if you are recording with FTP upload. The camera can upload a picture every second in case of an alarm. All you need is a FTP server or a network HDD which can also be set with an FTP access. You can also record the video with our additional software INSTARVISION or any other THIRD PARTY SOFTWARE. If you are using a QNAP or SYNOLOGY DISK STATION you can also simply add the camera in the Surveillance Software on the Disk Station.
